A tenanted property in Shipley had an unexpected fire caused by the tumble dryer. Both tenants were in at the time of the fire however were unable to prevent significant damage occurring. The kitchen was completely destroyed by the flames with the glass windows to the front of the property shattering from the heat. Smoke damage ripped through the property. The property was rendered uninhabitable and the letting agent duly appointed us to manage the resultant insurance claim and required reinstatement. Within 24 hours, instructing electricians to isolate the property making it safe. Windows were secured and the gas supply to the property was disconnected.
Once a mandate was signed by the policyholder giving us authority to manage the insurance claims, a Loss Assessor inspected the resultant damage, producing an itemised report of the required reinstatement. This was subsequently submitted to the insurer. We found suitable alternative accommodation for the tenants until the property became liveable.
We met the insurers loss adjuster at the property impacted, outlining the required scope of reinstatement, negotiating a fair settlement on behalf of the policyholder.
We managed all of the works, including: a new kitchen, flooring throughout, electrical work, decorating, plumbing and plastering.
To conclude the claim, we met with the policyholder on site to review the completed works and gain their satisfactory sign off.
I've worked with Micheal on many insurance repair jobs, everything's always well-organised and clear from the start, which makes our job on-site a lot smoother. Payments are fair and on time, and they’re always just a phone call away if anything crops up. I look forward to working with Paddl in the future.

Paddl first contacted me for an emergency call-out after a major leak in a customer’s home. Since then, I've been regularly brought in on their insurance-related jobs, and it's been a great partnership. The team are very efficient and things get done.

As a joiner, I’ve been involved in everything from replacing damaged floors to full internal reinstatements, there’s no faffing around, which means I can just get in and crack on with the work. Communication is spot on, and they’re good people to deal with.
