Emergency incident response

Incident reporting

Using your Paddl app you or your tenant uploads photos and/or videos of the damage, letting us know what has occurred.

Emergency support

Emergency contractor support can be provided by our network of local approved contractors, be that a plumber, electrician or heating engineer.

Professional property assessment

Surveys

A professional building surveyor attends your property to complete a survey within 24 hours*, identifying what reinstatement works are needed.

Reports

An inspection report is produced following our visit and made available via your Paddl app. This can be sent to tenants, agents and your insurer.

Mitigation

Our surveyors can instruct work to mitigate damage to your property such as the installation of drying equipment, with costs recovered through the claim.

Insurance claim initiation

Insurance documentation

You upload your insurance policies to the secure Paddl app, our claims team assesses your cover to ensure you receive what you're entitled to.

Authorisations

You authorise Paddl to handle your claim on your behalf through our client mandate.

Claims

Paddl will liaise with your insurer to raise the claim in the first instance, making them aware of the circumstances and damage at your property.

Scope of works

Paddl outlines the required reinstatement works necessary to return your property to its pre-loss condition.

Negotiations

Paddl negotiates with the insurer to ensure the claim as a whole and the required scope of reinstatement is approved.

Once approved Paddl provides an itemised scope of works for your property, available through the Paddl app so you always have it to hand.

Contractor selection

Paddl appoints our approved local contractors to undertake the reinstatement works.

Project management

Paddl manages the reinstatement works to ensure timely, high quality completion of works.

Completion note

Paddl issues you a completion note to sign off the work, until you are happy, you are protected.

If you appoint Paddl to manage your property claim, Paddl will appoint authorised tradespeople to undertake your reinstatement works to the highest of standards. In this instance there is no fee.

If you wish to opt for a cash settlement a small percentage of the claim value will be agreed as part of Paddl's fee.
