Incident and response
A tenant returned to their property following the Christmas break and wastewater had broken free in the property causing significant damage. We surveyed the property and concluded that the flood was caused by a failed communal soil stack.
Within 24 hours, we had appointed an emergency plumber who isolated the soil stack, raised the soil stack and fixed the leak.
Claim
We were appointed to manage the claim and manage the repairs to the property. We were able to support the building manager, affected leaseholders and tenants by accurately assessing the assessment of damage, handling communications with the insurer and agreeing a claim settlement that represented good value for the policyholder.
We kept all parties up to date with regular communications on the progress of the claim, ensuring that disruption to the day-today lives of each stakeholder were minimised. We also arranged for alternative accommodation for the tenants.
Property reinstatement
We project managed the repairs to the property using highly-skilled, trusted and vetted and tradespeople.
On schedule, the works were completed.
We then met with the leaseholder and tenant to conduct a site review and obtain satisfaction sign off.
